Meet our Team

BILL METZ, Executive Vice President

Bill has been in the electrical industry since 1986, working in the areas of Sales and Distribution. Prior to joining Colonial Solutions, Bill was a Senior Sales Representative for Square D, focusing on Pharma and Industrial facilities, Construction Managers, and Consulting Engineers. He worked extensively with power distribution/substations, Motor Control and AC Drives. Additionally, he provided service for Petrochemical facilities and Mission Critical facilities (Data Centers and Comms). When Bill takes a break, he enjoys the beach, woodworking and cheering his children on at their many sporting events.

LARRY LECLERCQ, General Manager

Larry joins the Colonial Solutions team with over 17 years experience and will oversee the operations, logistics and project management for this Division of Colonial Electric Supply. He spent many years in operations and logistics in both the Distribution and Manufacturing industries, holding positions as an Operations & Logistics VP, Project Group Manager, Distribution Center Manager and National Account Director. Larry is also a retired US Army Major, where he served for 10 years. He has a BS, Civil Engineering from Rutgers University and enjoys golf, baseball, soccer and crossword puzzles.

HUBERT (Hugh) STREEP, Vice President, Sales

Hugh comes to Colonial Solutions with over 30 years in the research, design, marketing and sales of engineered products and services. Most recently he spent 12 years as the principal and founding member of NextGen Technology. Within NextGen, he built a multi-disciplined engineering force whose primary focus was the design, procurement, and application of State of the Art facility management technology to business, industry and government. From 1993 to 2000, he served as the Executive Vice President of The Furst Group, an integrated telecommunications company using AT&T software defined networks to provide data and telecommunications solutions to business. Hugh also spent 11 years as a Senior Engineer and Division Manager in the marketing and sales of electrical distribution and control products of industry leaders, Square D Company and General Electric. Hugh holds a BS in Mechanical Engineering from Michigan State University, with further studies in Sales Management, Motivational Training and Corporate Strategic Planning. His memberships include: the National Society of Professional Engineers (NSPE), Association of Energy Engineers (AEE), New Jersey Certified Emergency Medical Technician (EMT), Emergency Response to Terrorism, Department of Homeland Security, New Jersey Superior Court Mediator, National Eagle Scout Association (NESA), and he owns two US Patents in Radio Frequency Design. Hugh enjoys sailboat racing, golf, fishing and travel.

SANTOS RIVERA, Jr., Project Manager

With 26 years Electrical Industry experience and specialized training, Santos will bring to Colonial Solutions a unique view of large project management, sales and operations. While at Siemens, Santos completed the extensive Sales Development Program, part of Siemens Power University in Braselton, GA. Prior to Siemens, he held Sales and Management positions for Cooper Electric, where he provided sales support for New Jersey’s largest contractors. Additionally, he sold and managed a multi-million Pipe & Wire project for Goldman Sachs. While not in the office or on the road, Santos enjoys golfing, pick-up basketball games and long walks.
